Ceramic vessel, 'Maya Offerings'

Master ceramists Ernesto and Erik Basilio hand-craft an impressive replica of a Maya offering vessel. It is believed the Maya people used this type of vessel to make offerings of flowers and incense. The Basilio father and son team adorns the vessel with symbols representing names, dates and numbers. The voluptuous pot stands on three legs; such pieces are depicted in Maya stelae, stuccoes and codices.
